Wellbeing
At Swifts Creek P-12 School we support and promote the health and wellbeing of every student. We create an environment which is inclusive and caring.
Home Group Teachers
Every student has a Home Group teacher who is the key person responsible for their academic, social and emotional wellbeing. The Home Group spends time each day with their Home Group to build a supportive relationship with students. The Home Group teacher coordinates individual programs for students with specific needs, and organises the Signature Events for their year level which foster cooperation and confidence for all class members. The Home Group teacher is the main point of liaison between the school and parents.
Personal Development
The curriculum at all year levels includes the subject Personal Development, delivered by the Home Group teacher. In this subject students are taught the knowledge, understandings and skills to manage their own health and wellbeing, and to support that of others.
We deliver the Respectful Relationships program in this subject.
